Farming an NPC Lvl10

Here is my tested way of getting the most rewards from a Lvl10 NPC:

Pre-requisites (must haves):

  • Military Tradition at level 9 or better (level 10 preferred)
  • Iron Working at level 9 or better (level 10 preferred)
  • Medicine at level 9 or better (level 10 preferred)
  • Feasting Hall at level 9 or better (level 10 preferred)
  • Rally Spot at level 9 or better (level 10 preferred)
  • An NPC level 10 within a 16 minute marching distance
  • 8 (or 9) Heroes with 150+ attack
  • 1 Hero that is rubbish
  • Approximately ONE million warriors (or more)
  • 10 scouts
Start off by attacking the NPC with your 1 rubbish hero and 100K warriors!!!

[Edit:] Some people are reporting that 10K warriors is not enough!!!. My answer is to up the amount by 10K amounts until you get a successful report everytime. :-)

You may think this is silly, but all will be explained now...

Evony is non-linear:  If you scout it for a low defending hero (which is the key to easy success) and then attack it, you will find that a different hero (a higher one than expected) is defending it, leading to unwanted losses and a longer battle.

The key is to attack it first, obviously losing, and to read the report.  It is the defending hero in this report that we want to know about.

Once you have read the report you can decide on your next course of action.  If the hero in the report is high, scout it (the report from this is pointless - discard it).  This will randomise the hero that is there....

Then attack it again with your rubbish hero and 100K warriors again.  Reading that report after to ascertain the situation.

Repeat these steps.

We are ideally looking for a hero that is level 1, but any hero under level 5 will be easily subdued.

If you have the time, try and get a level 1 hero, as your deaths and casualties will be alot less.

(time goes by....)

Okay, so we have a low hero and it is now time to start sending in our big waves of warriors...

NPC10s have a lot of defences and mechanics, so the first few waves may end up being kamikazi attacks (cannon fodder).

Send waves of maximum warriors (90K or 125K) with your bestest attack heroes in 5-6secs intervals.  These will clear the paths for smaller waves soon.

Depending on the defending hero (level 1-5) you may have lost approximately 500K warriors and are left with 500K warriors or more.

Now, here is the best farming trick.....

When attacking any NPC, the loyalty of their population decreases with each attack.  When this loyalty reaches ZERO it becomes yours, as long as you have a spare city slot for it.

If you wait for 10mins or more, and attack it again, the troops will have replenished and the NPC's loyalty would have gone up.  This is not good for us, as this will mean more deaths and casualties on our side.  After hours of testing different intervals, I have discovered that an 8 minute interval between subsequent attacks is the best method of farming an NPC level 10.  This interval gives optimum medal drops, and often multi-drop results.

Once you start getting reports that are to your favour, check you losses. You will want to approximately quadruple this amount of these in your future attacks.

For example: the winning wave had ~19K losses... so your waves (attacks) from now on will be 80K warriors.

Send these out in 8 minute intervals.

If you have followed these instructions carefully, the NPC's loyalty should hardly drop, and you should be getting results similar to this...
  • ~19K losses
  • ~250 Prestige
  • ~350K experience earned
  • your hero's health drops by ~2
  • and of course, Nation and Justice medals
...To limit the loss of hero health (being a downside), I suggest rotating the heroes that are attacking.  This gives them a little time to heal.

NOTE:

When your warrior total reaches about ~200K, start to conquer the NPC by sending waves of 8K warriors, as fast as possible, until it is yours.

Remember... If you have made the NPC, by conquering a level 10 flat, building a city on it and abandoning it, it WILL disappear when the server does it's daily maintenance. I found it is best to keep the NPC10 your have just taken, and use it as a holding pen for troops and resources, while you are waiting for another flat to become a level 10.  If you knock down the 3 non-farms and build level 9 farms in their place, the city will hold 1 million troops, easily, and be self-substained.
